Grace Commisso is a senior cartooning major, working towards her BFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Recently, her short comic, "Cutting Cords" was featured in the 2026 spring issue of INK Magazine, a semi-annual student run comics magazine. She has worked with POWER, a women's non-profit organization to auction her work at their annual luncheon held to raise scholarships for high school students. Additionally, in 2021 she was a finalist for the New York Congressional Art Competition with her oil painting, "The Self of Artistic Discovery."
Grace previously worked as a studio assistant for sculpture artist Sachiko Akiyama, and is currently an Exhibitions Assistant for the School of Visual Arts Galleries. She has experience in creative marketing and publicity, as well as convention tabling for MoCCA Fest 2026 from her time with Abrams Books as an intern under the ComicArts imprint.
